Epilepsy :
Epilepsy, also known as seizure disorder, is where nerve cells in the brain that send and receive messages from the body get disrupted. It results in uncontrolled bursts of activities like loss of consciousness, emotions, sensations, and muscle movements. Types include focal onset seizures, generalized onset seizures like absence seizures, atonic seizures, tonic seizures, clonic seizures, tonic-clonic seizures, and Myoclonic seizures. Factors that trigger seizures are stress, improper sleep, drug usage, alcohol consumption, menstrual changes, flashing lights, no balanced diet, physical overexertion, caffeine, dehydration, medications like diphenhydramine, and missed anti-seizure medication. Symptoms include staring, jerking movements, stiffening of the body, loss of consciousness, breathing problems, faster heart rate, goose bumps, loss of bladder control, falling suddenly without apparent reason, confusion, loss of awareness, periods of rapid eye blinking and staring.
