Chemotherapy :
Chemotherapy is the most commonly used treatment for cancer. Chemotherapy can be called a drug therapy that is used to destroy tumor cells and also slows down the growth of cancerous cells. Chemotherapy will be the best treatment option if the cancer cells do not spread to other parts of the body. It can be used in case of metastatic cancer, which can be called the spreading of cancer to other parts of the body. There are various types of chemotherapy, such as hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. Chemotherapy will be administered in many ways, which include neoadjuvant therapy, adjuvant therapy, curative therapy, and palliative therapy. In the procedure of chemotherapy, a drug will be given through intravenous approach into the body, or through tablet form, or through an injection, or can be applied as an ointment. Chemotherapy will be helpful for the destruction of the cancerous cells along with the normal healthy cells, which can cause side effects like diarrhea, loss of appetite, constipation, fatigue, bleeding, anemia, nausea, vomiting, infection, and hair loss.
