Blood in Urine :
Blood in urine is also called as hematuria. It will be called as a symptom of underlying conditions, and blood is visibly seen in the urine. There will be different types of hematuria that include microscopic hematuria, gross hematuria, and dipstick hematuria. There will be many causes of blood in urine, like urinary stone disease, kidney infections, urinary tract infection, bladder inflammation, enlarged prostate, endometriosis, sickle cell disease, and chronic kidney disease. There are many types of cancers that can lead to blood in urine, such as kidney cancer, bladder cancer, urethral cancer, ureteral cancer, and prostate cancer. There will be other symptoms in which there is blood in urine, such as vomiting & nausea, chills, fever, abdominal pain, and lower back pain. The diagnostic tests that are performed to diagnose the cause of blood in urine will be urinalysis, urine cytology, urine culture, CT scan, ultrasound scan, and MRI scan. The treatment will be treating the cause of the condition through medications.
