Flat foot :

Flat foot is a postural defect commonly seen in children, however can also appear in adults, in which the arches of the foot or feet touch the ground or come in close contact with the ground. Flat foot is medically also called as fallen arches or pes planus.

Majority of the people with this condition do not show any symptoms, while a minor population experience pain and discomfort in the ankles. There is no definitive cause for this condition, but it can result due to family history injury, obesity, arthritis and aging.
