Paediatric Physiotherapist :
A paediatric physiotherapist is a trained physiotherapist who will treat infants, children, and young adults. A paediatric physiotherapist is qualified with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and then completed a Master's in Physiotherapy (MPT) with specialisation in paediatrics. The conditions which are treated by Paediatric physiotherapists will be developmental delays, respiratory conditions like cystic fibrosis, asthma, congenital conditions like limb deficiencies, injuries due to sports, fractures, musculoskeletal issues, and orthopaedic deformities. They are well-trained in treating techniques such as stretching, exercises to strengthen muscles, and educating about proper posture. When there are symptoms such as balancing difficulties, muscle stiffness, muscle weakness, developmental delays, poor posture, recovery from injury or surgery, restricted movements, or unexplained pain. The main goal of paediatric physiotherapy is to improve the functional abilities of a child.
