Chest Pain :
Generally, chest pain has numerous causes which range from a minor condition like indigestion to serious ones that may be heart attacks. When the cause of the chest pain is related to the heart it may result from angina, that is when the heart does not receive adequate blood flow. Other causes include lung troubles, gastrointestinal problems, or musculoskeletal conditions. Heart associated chest pain usually feels pressure, tightness, or squeezing. Other types of chest pain may feel sharp or stabbing. Often the diagnosis of chest pain rules out any dangerous causes, typically by ECG, blood tests, or any other imaging. Treatment depends on the diagnosed cause but immediate medical attention is sought if symptoms of heart attack appear.
