Laryngologist :
A laryngologist, also referred to as an otolaryngologist or ENT specialist, deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the larynx (voice box). A laryngologist is qualified with a graduation in MBBS, followed by a post-graduation in MS in ENT. A laryngologist is well-trained in treating many conditions, such as problems in voice, hoarseness of voice, paralysis of vocal cords, swallowing difficulties, throat problems, voice problems, chronic cough, laryngeal surgeries, laryngeal dysfunction, and pain in the throat, including microlaryngoscopy, vocal cord surgery, and medialization laryngoplasty. The symptoms of diseases which are affecting the voice box will be persistent hoarseness, breathing issues, swallowing difficulty, nervous problems in larynx, lumps in head and neck, chronic cough, sore throat, pain in the tonsils, vertigo, hearing loss, tonsil infections, sleep apnea, nasal congestion, sinus allergies, should consult a laryngologist for the diagnosis and treatment in order to prevent the complications.
