Coronary Angiogram / Angiography :
Coronary angiography is a procedure aimed to outline the coronary arteries in charge of supplying blood supply to the heart. It further emphasizes plaque formations that may block or narrow. During the procedure a catheter is inserted inside one of the vessels which is then passed on to the coronary arteries. The process makes use of a contrast dye which can let the fluro see the arteries. This test helps doctors to conclude if there is any blocking blood flow which may lead to heart diseases such as angina or heart attack. So, if a interventional cardiologist finds some blockages then for these treatments of angioplasty or surgery will be suggested. Coronary angiograms are always critically dependent on diagnosis and management of heart diseases.
