Diarrhoea :

Diarrhea is a condition in which the patient suffers from loose, watery stools. It can be caused by varied reasons ranging from a simple infection to chronic diseases. It usually presents along with cramps, bloating, fatigue, fever, urgency to empty the bowels. It needs to be addressed immediately as delay in treatment might lead to dehydration, hypovolemia and even shock when unchecked. Eating at unhygienic food, drinking contaminated water usually causes diarrhea. Water and ion correction needs to be started as soon possible. ORS packets, and use of antibiotics might be necessary. If the patient have lost huge amounts of fluids then an iv line mist be secured for parenteral nutrition. Rest is advised. Consultation with a general-practitioner is advised if the condition doesn't self resolve or improve after a few days
