Wrist Fracture :
The wrist comprises of ten bones, and when any of these bones break, it is said that the individual has a wrist fracture. Wrist fractures commonly occur when an individual slips and tries to stop their fall with their hands. Some symptoms of a broken wrist include swelling in the wrist, bruising in the wrist, severe pain, difficulty in moving the wrist and numbness in the fingers. A broken wrist may also bend in an unusual manner.
An orthopaedic specialist can diagnose a broken wrist with a physical examination of the wrist. The doctor may also order tests such as a wrist X-ray, an MRI scan and a CT scan to confirm the diagnosis. The treatment of a wrist fracture depends on the type and severity of the fracture. In some cases, the bones can be realigned without cutting the skin open. In other cases, a minor surgery is required to realign the bones. After the bones are realigned, the doctor will put the wrist in a cast to allow the bones to heal correctly.Found 97 Doctors for Wrist Fracture Treatment in Indore
