Arm Fracture :
The arm has three bones, and if any of these bones break, it is called an arm fracture. A broken arm bone causes a lot of pain and swelling. The arm may change colour and become bluish. The individual may not be able to use their arm, and a bump may appear on the arm that is not usually there. A broken arm can be diagnosed with an imaging test such as an X-ray, MRI and CT scan. If the broken bone in the arm has not moved far from its normal place, then a splint or a cast may be sufficient to allow it to heal correctly. Most people need to wear a cast for a few months to let the bone heal. In contrast, if the arm fracture is severe, then internal fixation surgery may be required. In this surgery, the surgeon aligns the bone to the correct position and secures it in place using metal plates and screws.
