Loss of smell :
Loss of smell is a condition known as anosmia when you can't detect any odors. It is usually identified as a temporary side effect of a sinus infection or sometimes due to medical complaints like traumatic brain injuries. Loss of smell occurs due to nasal polyps, common cold, nasal congestion, influenza, sinus infection, hay fever or other allergies, COVID-19, deviated nasal septum, Alzheimer's disease, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, high blood pressure, Kallmann syndrome, Parkinson's disease and Sjogren's syndrome. The other causes of loss of smell are taking antibiotics and antihistamines, smoking, obesity, diabetes and traumatic brain injury. The complications of loss of smell are food poisoning, increased risk of being hurt by smoke or fire and increased risk of inhaling natural gas or harmful chemicals.
