Diabetic foot ulcer is the most common complication of diabetes that results directly from peripheral artery diseases. Ulcers are formed as a result of tissue breakdown and this condition requires special care. They are most common under the big toes and the balls of feet. Almost all the individuals with diabetes experience ulcers but good foot care can help prevent them. One of the early symptom of diabetic foot is drainage from the foot ulcer and unusual swelling, irritation, redness, and odor from the discharge.
