Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure in which excess fat and skin is removed from the abdomen. It is performed by a plastic surgeon and it commonly known as a tummy tuck. An abdominoplasty is performed when exercise and diet changes do not flatten the stomach. It may also be performed to tighten the stomach after a pregnancy.
A tummy tuck involves making a cut in the abdomen and pulling the abdominal skin down. Then, the surgeon removes the excess skin and moves the belly button in the correct position.
