HIV Specialist :
A HIV specialist is a medical doctor who provides diagnosis and treatment of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection and complications caused by that infection. HIV specialist can also be called as infectious disease specialist. HIV specialist will be qualified with graduation in MBBS, followed by post graduation in internal medicine or infectious diseases. Further trained with special training with fellowship course in HIV/AIDS management. HIV specialist mainly focuses on the treatment of HIV infection through antiretroviral therapy (ART), and also treats opportunistic infections such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and co-infections such as hepatitis. When the symptoms of HIV infection such as flu like symptoms, ulcers in the mouth, headaches, frequent diarrhea, frequent infections such as flu, yeast infections, cold, tuberculosis, unexplained weight loss, severe herpes, skin problems, pneumonia, swollen lymph nodes, swollen lymph nodes, neurologic problems, vomiting, heart disease, nausea, liver damage, sleep problems, kidney damage, are there, should check with a HIV specialist for the diagnosis and treatment.
