Hydrocele :
Hydrocele can be described as the fluid filled sac which is present in the scrotum and thus results in swelling. The two types of hydroceles includes communicating hydrocele, non-communicating hydrocele. The cause of the hydrocele will be inflammatory infection causing to scrotum. The major symptom of the hydrocele is swelling on both or one side of the scrotum, discomfort, heaviness, pain. The diagnosis of hydrocele can be made through physical examination, and investigation tests such as CT scan, pelvic ultrasound examination. Most of the hydroceles subsides on their own, and no treatment required. Surgery will be advised called as hydrolectomy, when the hydrocele cannot subside on its own, and the hydrocele is surgically removed. If hydrocele is not treated, it can lead to inguinal hernia which is dangerous and leads to severe pain. The complications that are associated with the hydrocele surgery includes scarring, infection, swelling, anesthesia risks, recurrence of hydrocele, bruising.
