Hepatitis A :
Hepatitis A can be described as a viral infection that can occur due to a virus called the hepatitis A virus, and it affects the liver. The virus leads to inflammation of the liver, and it can easily spread to other individuals. The symptoms that can be noticed in case of hepatitis A include itchy skin, fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, fever, joint pain, pain in the abdomen, vomiting, loss of appetite, pale colored stools, dark colored urine, and yellowish discoloration of skin and eyes called jaundice. Hepatitis A can also be contracted through food poisoning or in close contact with individuals who have hepatitis A infection. The diagnosis of hepatitis A can depend on the symptoms and the physical examination. There is a need to observe for signs of liver diseases, jaundice, liver enlargement and spleen enlargement and then go through the blood tests for diagnosis. Hepatitis A may not have any treatment, but suggests to stay at home when there are symptoms, and drinking lots of fluids, avoiding alcohol and smoking will be helpful, and regular checkups with a doctor.
