Bow legs medically termed as genu varum is a congenital deformity marked by outward bending of the knees appearing as bow shaped. Bow legs is caused by dwarfism, paget's disease, bone fracture, bone dysplasia, and lead or fluoride poisoning. It can also be a symptom of underlying disease or ailment such as rickets and arthritis of the knee and hips.
