Phimosis :
Male children are born with skin that covers the head of the penis. If a male is left uncircumcised after birth, then they can develop a condition called phimosis. In phimosis, the skin around the head of the penis is too tight. Such tightness of the skin makes it difficult or impossible to pull the skin back from the head of the penis. All children have phimosis, but it tends to resolve on its own as a child grows older. In some cases, adults experience phimosis due to injuries, infections or scarring.
Phimosis does not always require treatment. It can be problematic if the skin tightness makes it difficult to clean the underside of the penis. Phimosis can cause symptoms like pain during intercourse and swelling in the penis. The diagnosis of this condition usually involves a physical exam.Phimosis can be treated with medications and creams.
