Otomycosis :

Otomycosis is a fungal ear infection which may effect one or both the ears. Otomycosis is more commonly seen in people living in tropical and subtropical regions and also in individuals engaged in water sports, diabetes or with other existing skin conditions.Otomycosis is typically caused by fungus, and there are nearly 60 different species responsible for this infection. However it can also affect individuals with weakened immune system, trauma or injuries to the ear,eczema and other existing skin infections. This condition can be either acute or subacute often characterised by symptoms such as inflammation, pain, itching,swelling,flaky skin,tinnitus,discharge from the ears,feeling of fullness in the ear,and hearing problems.
