Breast Pain :

Breast pain or mastalgia , is a common condition experienced by many women, characterized by by discomfort, tenderness or pain in ne or both breasts. It can be classified into cyclic and non - cyclic pain . Cyclic breast pain is related to menstrual cycle, often occuring in the days leading up to menstruation due to hormonal changes , and typically subsides after the period starts. Non cyclic breast pain is not associated with menstrual cycle and can be caused by factors such as trauma, cysts, infections, or certain medications.

Other potential causes include poorly fitting bras, stress and large breast size , which can strain chest muscles and ligaments. Though breast pain is usually harmless, chronic or severe pain needs medical intervention to rule out fatal conditions like breast cancer. Management usually include wearing supporting bras , using non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs , applying warm or cold packs, and making dietary changes to reduce intake of caffiene and fat . Consulting a medical doctor is necessary to address such severe breast pain to know the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
