IGRT :
IGRT can be called Image-guided radiation therapy. IGRT is a type of radiation therapy that is used for the treatment of cancers. IGRT will be helpful for the destruction of cancer cells with beams of radiation, and thus the tumor will be removed completely. IGRT will be done when the cancer cells are spreading and moving from one place to another through the body. It will be helpful in targeting the cancer cells while they are moving to other places in the body. IGRT will be the treatment option for treating various types of cancers, which include abdominal cancer, uterine cancers, lung cancer, prostate cancer, head and neck cancers, ovarian cancer, brain cancer, and vaginal cancer. The diagnostic tests that are done before doing the procedure of IGRT will be a CT scan, an MRI scan, an ultrasound scan, X-rays, and a PET scan.
