Diabetes in Adults :
Diabetes is an endocrine problem characterized by decreased levels of insulin and increased levels of blood sugar in the body. The insulin hormone regulates the amount of blood glucose in the body and is produced by the pancreas. Diabetes in adults is classified into several types, such as pre diabetes, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. A few uncommon types of diabetes in adults include latent autoimmune diabetes in adults or diabetes 1.5, type 3c diabetes, brittle diabetes, and maturity-onset diabetes of the young. The presenting complaints of diabetes include increased thirst, slow healing cuts and sores, fatigue, blurred vision, unexplained weight loss, and frequent urination. The causes of diabetes in adults include insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance, pancreatic damage, and autoimmune disease. The management of diabetes in adults involves various methods like monitoring blood sugar levels, administering insulin, taking oral diabetes medications, choosing a healthy diet and planning meals, determining how much insulin is needed at meals, and exercising regularly.
