General Physician :
A general physician is a doctor dealing with common health problems and diseases prevalent in patients. They normally be the first contact for those complaining of symptoms like fever, cough, cold, body pains, digestive problems, minor infections. General physicians trained to deal with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of many acute and chronic diseases involving hypertension and diabetes as well as infections and minor injuries. They also conduct routine health examinations and preventive care. The general physician completes their MBBS and then further pursue MD in General Medicine. Upon the first consultation, they will note and study symptoms of the patients, discuss the medical history, and may suggest few tests which may include basic blood investigations or an imaging study depending upon the disease. They prescribe medicines or advise certain lifestyle changes to control patient's health disorders. If a certain case requires specialist care, they refer the patient to an appropriate specialist for better treatment. General physicians act as a key aspect in response to routine health issues and guide patients toward healthier ways of living.
