Tubectomy :

Tubectomy is the procedure otherwise known as tubal ligation. The procedure in question involves either tying or cutting off the fallopian tubes to make a woman unable to conceive. A woman who does not have any interest in bearing children and never wants to have any more usually prefers this procedure. There are several approaches through which the procedure can be carried out including laparoscopy, utilizing small incisions together with a camera or during a cesarean. Generally tubectomy is a permanently effective form of birth control, although in some cases it is possible to reverse the procedure. While normally very safe, risks associated with the procedure include infection, bleeding, and those associated with anesthesia.
