Tobacco addiction :
Tobacco addiction is also called as nicotine dependence or tobacco use disorder. When an individual becomes too dependent on the stimulant in tobacco, known as nicotine, it is referred to as tobacco addiction. The symptoms which are observed in tobacco addiction will be cravings for nicotine, anxiety, feeling sad, irritated, needs large amount of tobacco, unable to quit smoking tobacco, and there will be tobacco withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, chest tightness, headaches, gas formation in stomach, difficulty sleeping, increased hunger, constipation, dry mouth, nausea, difficulty in sleeping, coughing, and psychological symptoms will include depression, feeling weak, anger, trouble in focusing, agitated. The treatment advised for tobacco addiction will be through nicotine replacement therapy, behavioural therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, joining support groups for quitting smoking tobacco, and medication to stop tobacco use.
