Tobacco addiction :
Tobacco addiction is called dependence on the tobacco use. Tobacco contains a chemical called nicotine, so it is also called nicotine dependence. The signs of nicotine dependence are one cannot stop smoking, withdrawal symptoms are seen when trying to stop using tobacco, difficulty in social activities, and smoking tobacco, though there are health problems. The nicotine in the tobacco causes the urge to smoke again and again as it releases brain-stimulating neurotransmitters, thus causing pleasure. That's how people are addicted to tobacco worldwide. There are some common situations that can trigger smoking, such as stress, talking over the phone, spending time with the same group of friends who smoke, drinking alcohol, etc. The complications that arise due to tobacco addiction are lung cancer, heart problems, diabetes, eye problems, pregnancy complications, infertility, tooth problems, and respiratory infections. Quitting smoking tobacco is hard with the first attempt, one must seek medical help when one really wants to come out of the addiction. Doctors advise medications, counselling, and suggest methods to quit smoking.
