Restless Leg Syndrome :
Restless leg syndrome is a condition of the brain that creates a strong urge to move your legs when you are resting, thus causing discomfort like itching, pulling, crawling, or throbbing. This urge can interfere with your body's ability to relax or fall asleep and worsens while at rest. Restless leg syndrome is caused by factors like iron deficiency and anemia. Use of medications like antihistamines and antidepressants. It is also possible to inherit restless leg syndrome from either of your parents.
Early leg syndrome is also known as Willis- Ekbom disease and is classified into two types. Early onset restless leg syndrome is diagnosed in people below forty five years age group and progresses slowly. However, late onset restless leg syndrome progresses rapidly and is diagnosed late after forty five. Restless leg syndrome thus causes sleep disturbances, behaviour changes, difficulty in paying concentration, depression or anxiety.
