Over Sweating :
Over sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, is a condition that causes the body to sweat excessively without any specific reason. Over sweating is classified into various types, namely, primary focal hyperhidrosis and secondary generalized hyperhidrosis. Over sweating causes symptoms like wetness on the skin and can induce symptoms such as itching and inflammation when sweat irritates the skin, damp clothing and beads of fluid dripping from the cheeks or forehead, cracked or peeling skin on the feet, body odour, which occurs when the bacteria on the skin mix with the sweat particles. The treatment plan to manage over sweating includes showering more often, using antiperspirants and deodorants, wearing breathable clothes, taking certain medications and therapies like botulinum toxin injections, iontophoresis, microwave therapy and if the above mentioned steps don't work, surgical methods like sweat gland removal, endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy.
