Oily Hair :
Oily hair is derived from an excessive sebum production. A natural oil that moisturizes the scalp and hair. Though necessary for a healthy head of hair, higher levels can give greasy, flat, and limp hair. Many reasons exist which may cause someone to have oily hair, these include hormonal changes, particularly at the time of puberty or during pregnancy. Other possible reasons for having oily hair are genetic inclination, eating too much fatty foods, and poor hair washing habits, like over-washing or using products that are intended for a different type of hair. It is easier for oils to spread with the strands if one has fine hair or oily skin. The obvious symptoms of oily hair include shining, heavy-looking hair which feels greasy to the touch and often smells bad. Preventive measure against oily hair includes frequent shampooing with mild shampoo for oily hair, less heavy conditioners and other hair styling products, and avoidance of excessive heat treatments, all of which contribute toward fresher and cleaner-looking hair.
