Nystagmus :
Nystagmus is a vision condition where in a person's two eyes make repetitive movement of any kind , and in general this movement is side to side , up and down , or even rotary kind . It blurs their ability to perceive distance or balance , or view clearly because the eyes would face difficulty while finding convergence over the object. Nystagmus is either congenital (coming at birth) , or acquired and due to inner ear conditions, brain disorders, head injury, and certain medications. Its symptoms include a person having blurry vision and being dizzy and unable to see in dim light . Diagnosis of nystagmus is done through an eye examination and other image studies such as MRI. There is no cure for this condition , but with treatment the reduction of symptoms can be seen. In some cases taking appropriate drugs or possibly surgery on eye muscles depending upon the degree, vision therapy has improved the quality of a life with nystagmus.
