Myocarditis :
The heart comprises three layers of muscle. The middle layer of the heart is the thickest, and it is called the myocardium. When this muscle layer becomes swollen, it is called myocarditis. It can cause concerning symptoms like feeling out of breath, chest pain and irregular heartbeats. In most cases, myocarditis develops due to an infection. However, taking certain medications or drugs can also cause this condition.
The diagnosis of myocarditis involves tests like EKG, chest X-ray, MRI and cardiac catheterization. Myocarditis can subside on its own without requiring treatment, but in most cases, medications are prescribed. Left untreated, this condition can result in stroke, heart attack or heart failure. It can also cause irregular heartbeat and death. If a patient has severe myocarditis, a cardiologist may recommend a procedure to install a ventricular assist device, which makes it easier for the heart to pump blood.Found 11 Doctors for Myocarditis Treatment in Warangal
