Lazy Eye :
Lazy eye is called amblyopia. This condition will have weaker vision in one eye than the other eye due to the abnormal development of vision during childhood. Lazy eye will be caused due to refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, eye diseases like cataracts, strabismus, vitamin B, and nutritional deficiencies such as ptosis. The symptoms that are observed in lazy eye include the inability to judge distances, misaligned eyes, headaches, squinting of the eye, double vision, and the inability to read and write. The early diagnosis of lazy eye will be crucial for the prevention of the loss of vision. The management advised for the lazy eye will be through eye patching, which involves covering one eye to allow the other eye to see. Contact lenses, eyeglasses, and surgical treatment will be suggested in a few cases. Eye exercises for improving eye coordination will also be suggested. A lazy eye needs to be corrected on time, as it will cause vision impairment.
