Lazy Eye :
Lazy eye is also called amblyopia. It is a condition affecting the eye due to abnormal development of vision. The symptoms of lazy eye can be poor depth perception, wandering of eye inward and outward, head tilting, squinting of eye, etc. The cause of this lazy eye includes sharpness of vision between eyes and refractive errors such as farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, strabismus, and cataracts, which are also causes of lazy eye. A lazy eye is diagnosed by an ophthalmologist by eye exam, and mostly, it is diagnosed in young children. The treatment for this lazy eye is eye patching, wearing eyeglasses, eye drops, and surgery if they have cataracts. There are some exercises suggested by doctors to improve the connection between the eye and brain. A lazy eye cannot be prevented, but regular eye checkups will be helpful for early diagnosis.
