Herpes :
Herpes is a generally recurrent viral infection. The two main herpes simplex viruses come in the form of HSV-1, which commonly causes oral herpes or cold sores, and HSV-2, which usually refers to herpes that infect the genital area. The virus is spread either from the skin or the mucous membranes of an infected person or from their bodily fluids. Signs may appear with painful blisters or ulcers in the affected region, itching, and flu-like symptoms during initial outbreaks. Some individuals develop no signs whatsoever. Even though it is one of the incurable diseases, antiviral medication helps and reduces outbreak chances by controlling outbreaks with fewer symptoms and less potential for transmitting the disease. Such safe practices are proper condom use and avoidance of intercourse during an outbreak, regular check ups can lead to better management when openly discussed with sexual partners.
