Fibroadenoma Breast :
Fibroadenoma Breast, in young women, is actually a benign or noncancerous breast tumor. The tumor texture of this tumor is primarily fibrous and glandular and constitutes a firm, smooth, rubbery lump that easily moves under the skin. So far the cause of fibroadenoma has not been established, but the formation of this tumor may be associated with some hormonal changes, especially the rise in estrogen levels. Most of the fibroadenomas are asymptomatic. Therefore, they are diagnosed only by chance when women happen to notice them either doing self-examination or during routine check ups. They can also grow in size and enlarge either during pregnancy or when on hormone therapy. A small, symptom-free fibroadenoma does not necessarily need treatment. But in case the fibroadenoma grows in size, or causes pain or, in other words, raises alarm, it has to be removed by surgical excision or cryoablation for its complete elimination. It has to be followed up continuously for ascertaining whether the changes go on with time.
