Dizziness :
Dizziness is described as experiencing a feeling of light headedness and disturbed spatial orientation. The presenting complains of dizziness vary in each person such as feeling faint, nauseous, feeling unsteady on feet as if they lost their sense of balance and disoriented or confused. The factors responsible for causing dizziness include inner ear disorders like vestibular neuritis, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, labyrinthitis, inner ear infections, persistent postural perceptual dizziness, and also medical conditions like anemia, acoustic neuroma, cardiovascular issues, migraine, concussion, parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Dizziness also occurs due to reasons like anxiety, stress, carbon monoxide poisoning, dehydration, low blood sugar, blood pressure medications and motion sickness. Dizziness that occurs due to inner ear problems can be evaluated by performing a test called the vestibular test battery. The best treatment option to manage the symptoms of this condition is vestibular rehabilitation therapy.
