Dark Circles :
Old age, lack of sleep, and dehydration are some common causes of the darkening of the area under the eyes. Such darkened spots are called dark circles. The area may turn black, blue, brown, or purple, depending on the skin color. Dark circles can make one appear tired and older in age. Dark circles are usually not a reason to be concerned and rarely indicate any underlying health problem. However, one may want to reduce the darkening for cosmetic reasons. Getting more sleep and staying hydrated can reduce the darkening of the skin. Using extra pillows when sleeping can prevent the collection of fluid under the eyes. Applying cold compresses, cucumbers, and tea bags can also reduce darkness and puffiness under the eyes. Treatments such as PRP injections, tissue fillers, and laser therapy can improve the condition of the skin under the eyes and relieve dark circles.
