Cystoscopy :
Cystoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that is performed to examine the urinary bladder and urethra. Cystoscopy will be helpful in the diagnosis of urinary tract problems, bladder cancers, urinary bladder stones, enlarged prostate, bladder control problems, urethral strictures, urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis or bladder pain syndrome. Urologists are performing this cystoscopy in case of bladder stones, bladder control problems such as retention of urine, blood in urine, and pain during urination. The procedure of cystoscopy will be done by insertion of a cystoscope with a camera at the end to visualise the bladder, and then remove the tissue samples whenever required for further testing. There will be two types of cystoscopes: rigid cystoscopes and flexible cystoscopes. Cystoscopy is a less risky procedure, but there will be some complications seen with the procedure, like spasms in the bladder, painful cramps, leakage of urine, infection, bladder damage, and damage to the urethra.
