CT Coronary Angiogram :

The coronary arteries are the main blood vessels that supply blood to the heart. In some people, the coronary arteries can become narrow, hard, and might get blocked completely. A CT or computerized tomography coronary angiogram is an imaging test that is performed to diagnose narrow or blocked coronary arteries. This test is also used to diagnose a variety of other heart conditions. A doctor may suggest a CT coronary angiogram if you have symptoms of coronary artery disease such as chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

During a CT coronary angiogram, your doctor will insert an IV line into your hand or arm. A contrast dye is then injected through the IV line. You will be made to lie down on a long table that slides through a tunnel-like machine called a CT scan machine. The dye that is injected highlights the coronary arteries and the heart, and high resolution images are then taken. Usually, after the procedure, you can return to your daily activities.
