Azoospermia :
Azoospermia, also known as no sperm count, is described as not having enough sperm in the semen or ejaculate. This condition is categorized into three types, namely, post testicular azoospermia, testicular azoospermia and pre testicular azoospermia. Azoospermia leads to male infertility. The factors responsible for causing post testicular azoospermia include trauma or injury to the testicles, infections like epididymitis, inflammation, retrograde ejaculation, cysts or growths and causative factors of pretesticular and testicular azoospermia include genetic conditions like Kallmann syndrome and Klinefelter's syndrome, hormone imbalances, varcicocele, reaction to certain medications that may harm sperm production, radiation treatments, chemotherapy, undescended testes, orchitis and misusing drugs or spending huge time in hot tubs. The treatment methods to deal with azoospermia include surgical procedures to unblock tubes and reconstruct, connect the ones that do not allow sperm to flow through, hormone treatments, and assistive reproductive technology like in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
