Peripheral angiogram is the catheter based procedure done to identify the blocks and atheromatius changes in arteries of the limbs specially in legs and feet. The test is done in a specialised cath lab by interventional cardiologists. A catheter is sent from the groin or a hand throgh a small cut and a contrast is ijected and a series of images are captured to identify the blocks. It is relatively a safe test and complications are rare . the uncommon complications are bleeding, Contrast allergies, damage to the artery, renal impairment etc. Cardiologists are the specialists to consult for this procedure.
