Failure to thrive is a medical condition wherein a child grows poorly at the average rate. This condition is connected with glaring delays in weight, height, and/or head circumference. Among the most popular causes of this condition differ, but among them are nutritionally inadequate supply, other clinical conditions such as the gastrointestinal system and heart, social or emotional problem, and lesser parental involvement. The physician needs to recognize and treat the root cause in order to manage the effective treatment of failure to thrive. It will reduce long-term repercussions, such as cognitive delays and behavioral problems if intervention occurs early.
