Blood In Stools :
Finding blood in your stool can seem like a major cause for alarm. Blood in stools can be an important symptom of certain conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer, anal fissure, and haemorrhoids. The stool may appear to be reddish in colour or may have a tarry appearance. It is advisable to consult your healthcare provider for an opinion if you have pain in the anal region, you do not know the actual cause for blood in stools, and it is continuing for a long period (say, a week or more), with increasing frequency.
