Diaper Rash :
Diaper rash, also called diaper dermatitis, refers to a rash that is observed in the baby's diaper area, such as thighs, buttocks, or genitals. Diaper rashes are classified into various types, such as irritant diaper rash, allergic reaction diaper rash, bacterial diaper rash, and candida diaper rash. The area with a diaper rash looks warm to the touch, and these diaper rashes are seen as reddened skin around the genitals, buttocks, and thighs. Severe diaper rashes may cause pain and swelling in the region. The causes of diaper rashes include moisture in the baby's diaper area, when the urine or stool touches the baby's skin for a long duration, chafing or rubbing in the diaper area, yeast infection, bacterial infection, food allergies and allergic reaction to diaper material. Diaper rashes can be managed by keeping the area as dry and clean as possible.
