Dermatitis :
Dermatitis is a skin inflammatory condition that irritates the skin. Dermatitis is categorized into several types such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, diaper dermatitis, neurodermatitis, dyshidrotic dermatitis, perioral/ periorificial dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, nummular dermatitis and stasis dermatitis. The significant signs induced by dermatitis are red rashes and bumps, dry skin, itching, fluid filled blisters, rashes that look like a burn, painful ulcers and oozing of fluid when scratched, thickening and swelling of skin, crusting, scaling and creasing of skin. The factors causing dermatitis include exposure to chemicals and irritants, immune system overreaction, genetics, stress and environmental changes. Dermatitis is also associated with other symptoms like sleep loss, depression, anxiety, asthma and allergies. The treatment modalities to manage dermatitis include moisturizing creams, biologic injections, topical medications, ointments, oral medications and antihistamines.
