Stye :
Stye looks like acne on the eye caused by bacteria and can be seen in the base of the eyelash; it looks reddish and very painful in touch. This is very common and typically goes away in 2 weeks. There are two types, External styes and internal styes, based on the location of swelling in the eyelid. Sensitivity to light, Discharge of the eye, Small bumps filled with pus, tenderness, and redness are symptoms associated with a stye. Stye is typically seen with blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelid) and in patients with diabetes. Mostly, stye is taken lightly, but in case a person experiences a blurring of vision, they should visit the doctor immediately for a proper diagnosis since they are stubborn to get rid of it. It is a self-limiting condition that can be managed at home by using warm compression, Cleaning the surroundings of an eye with a sterile cloth, and using prescribed antibiotics. Squeezing or rubbing the eye is not recommended. In severe cases stye is drained and cleaned under local anesthesia.
