Renal angioplasty is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed to treat renal artery blockage. It is clinically termed as percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of renal artery. It is performed when the renal artery is damaged with conditions like renal artery stenosis, renal hypertension, restricted blood flow due to medication side-effects.
