Ovarian cyst :
Ovarian cyst is a small fluid filled sac or a growth that develops in one or both of ovaries in women. Ovarian cysts are classified into various types such as functional ovarian cysts, dermoid cysts, cystadenomas, endometriomas and ovarian cancer cysts. Functional ovarian cysts, also called simple cysts, encompass corpus luteum cysts and follicular cysts. The significant signs induced by large size ovarian cysts include dull ache in the back or pelvic pain, a feeling of fullness, pain during sex, trouble passing stool, painful periods or urge to urinate frequently. The causative factors of these ovarian cysts include ovulation and other factors like PCOS, abnormal cell reproduction, endometriosis and pelvic inflammatory disease. There is no treatment required for a few types of ovarian cysts and go away on their own. For bigger size ovarian cysts, the management involves prescribing medications and surgical procedures like laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery.
