Metabolic Diseases :
After the body digests food and converts it into energy and other components, it must use what it has absorbed to grow and repair the body. Metabolism is the process of breaking down the absorbed matter into smaller molecules and using them to maintain the body. Metabolic diseases are conditions that disrupt metabolism. Diabetes is a common example of a metabolic disease. It disturbs the process of insulin production or regulation. Hemochromatosis and Gaucher's disease are some other examples of metabolic diseases. These diseases can cause symptoms like tiredness, vomiting, weight changes, and nausea. There are many possible reasons for the development of metabolic diseases. Some of these diseases, such as Gaucher's disease, are caused by inherited genetic mutations. Dysfunctions of the organs and mitochondria can also cause such diseases. These diseases are usually diagnosed using a blood test and managed with medication.
