Menopause :
Menopause marks the end of the reproductive years in a woman and is a natural part of aging. Menopause usually occurs at the age of 52, when a woman has gone for twelve consecutive months without a menstrual period. This means that the ovaries no longer produce reproductive hormones. Menopause is divided into three stages, namely, or perimenopause or menopause transition, menopause, followed by postmenopause. The significant signs of menopause in women include irregular periods or periods that are lighter or heavier than usual, night sweats or cold flashes, a sudden feeling of warmth that spreads over the body, urinary urgency, vaginal dryness that causes discomfort during sex, emotional changes like irritability, mood swings or depression, dry eyes or dry mouth, dry skin, breast tenderness, worsening premenstrual syndrome, insomnia or difficulty in sleeping. Induced menopause is a condition where menopause occurs due to any medical treatment or surgery.
