Family Planning :
Family planning is basically done when one doesn't want the number of children to be increased or to have a space between child and child. Governments in large populated countries encourage this method to control the population rate. Not only that, family planning helps women to have a healthier life and reduce infant mortality and maternal mortality. The benefits of family planning include women's empowerment and improved family status in society. There are several methods of family planning, which include temporary methods like using hormonal contraceptions, barrier methods, and as well permanent methods like ligation, which is done both in males and females. There are even certain risks associated with family planning, which include nausea, behavioural changes, weight gain, stroke, and changes in periods. However, all these risks are likely to be more in women or men who have an underlying disease like uncontrolled blood sugars, hypertension, and unhealthy lifestyle. Post-family planning procedure, one would be advised not to lift heavy weights for a certain period of time and watch for any infection at surgical site.
